Whole-Building Energy Modeling with loadmodeling.tool
This session will explore the importance of Whole Building Energy Modeling for successful project delivery. Three project phases will be studied and the mechanical heating and cooling loads, and energy performance presented. We will discuss the differences between the inputs required for schematic design and construction documentation and how this impacts the details within the energy model. Workflows for each phase will highlight steps that are not required to reduce time and resources required to deliver on tasks at each phase. ASHRAE Standard 209 Modeling Cycles will be presented and their use connected to the three project phases.
