Farnaz Jahandideh, Ph.D, cove.tool's Decarbonization Researcher III, is a passionate Architectural Engineer with a Ph.D. specializing in life cycle sustainability and decarbonization. With her extensive expertise in green building practices, Farnaz is dedicated to driving positive environmental impact through innovative solutions. Her research in sustainable design is complemented by her extensive teaching experience, having instructed courses on architectural engineering and sustainability.

About the Speaker

David Speedlin serves as a BIM Researcher III at cove.tool. He began his career in architecture at a small firm, focusing on transforming sketches into detailed contract documents for residential homes. His education at Virginia Tech honed important skills in building construction, instilling a deep appreciation for the integration of beauty, functionality, and ecological sensitivity in architectural designs. Over the past 8.5 years, he has specialized in hospitality projects, managing them from documentation to construction for both prototypical and boutique hotels. He has also played a pivotal role in developing Revit office standards, contributing to the efficiency of construction documentation across various hotel projects. With over a decade of experience in Revit, they have built models for more than a dozen projects, demonstrating a strong ability to adapt designs throughout the development and construction phases.
